Focusing on Safety – Individual Tuition for Individuals

Every mistake on a motorcycle has a consequence and learning the real life skills of defensive riding takes time. A conventional Direct Access or A2 course isn’t enough. Investing a bit more time at the beginning of your motorcycle career is wise and will enable you to have a lot more fun. It’s worth noting at this point that our focus is very much on the safety and skills of all our riders and that we place these essential topics at the forefront of our training. It is likely that you will find cheaper CBT and Direct Access courses elsewhere as our training and coaching is guided very much by putting a safe system of riding in place for you.

We have great facilities for you and an exceptional first time pass rate for both Modules 1 and 2; dedicated classrooms, modern equipment and, our riders can practice all the Module 1 manoeuvres including the Hazard Avoidance exercise at our training centres.

Just got home from a day out on the road with Paul from get cornering. This is a brilliant experience and day out on the bikes. Young, old, experienced rider or not you should do this. I’ve been riding for 49 years but this is one of best you can get. Paul is very knowledgeable about biking in a safe fast way. He will tell you and show how to ride in a fast safe way. But not only that. He is very likeable and had some chats about bikes from bygone days. I enjoyed it as much as any thing I’ve done on two wheels including track days. Once I’d past on the ride back Paul said he would appreciate feedback on the FB page but unfortunately the rating only went as high as five star. In all honesty he hit the nail on the head. I had trained with a school in Bristol and failed my Mod 1 but with Paul I passed both modules first time, and felt calm throughout. I never witnessed him even get close to getting annoyed, which with my riding at the start was quite amazing. Can not recommend this guy and the school highly enough. A great experience. Thanks Paul

Have just successfully completed my full licence with Paul, from CBT to Mod 1 and Mod 2. As someone with no riding experience at all, the tuition from Paul throughout was perfect. No harsh words, shouting, swearing or unnecessary criticism. The practise day for the Mod 1 was fantastic at settling the nerves and putting me in a good standing for the test itself.
I cannot recommend Paul and GMTS highly enough. The tuition and bikes are second to none.

Completing my A unrestricted license from CBT through to passing Modules 1 & 2 in just under 2 months, having the confidence and correct tuition to achieve this was imperative.
Paul, the instructor, provided me with all the skills and learning I needed without pressure.
Each day I rode with no more than 3 other people, so getting 1 to 1 tuition on a regular basis helped me tremendously.
With the new facilities Paul now has, well maintained bikes to ride and good company.. Worth every penny.

Paul does not teach you how to ride a bike to get you through the CBT – he teaches you how to ride a bike for life. The equipment is excellent and you are taught all about the bike and how it works not just chucked on one.

I cannot recommend Paul and GMTS enough, 5 stars doesn’t cover it.
I completed my CBT with Paul just over 18 months ago, after a 18 year hiatus from my scooter riding days. I completed a two day course which left me feeling confident about riding on the road, and was safe in the mind that I could have returned and taken an extra day or more if I hadn’t been.
Following a year of commuting and creeping up Avon Way on my 125, I decided to go for my full license. I had no hesitation on who I wanted to learn from. Lessons are not just enjoyable, but very interesting, with every aspect of what you need to know to ride safely backed up by a story or some knowledge that adds context.
I was far from faultless in my lessons, and Paul dealt with my shortcomings and mistakes with a calmness that left you feeling it was only a matter of time before it would come together, even right up to a day before my final test. I should also mention the equipment is, like Paul, first class and the bikes have been purposefully selected so they are comfortable and easy to ride.
I am now sat at my laptop, having passed my Mod 2 test, looking my first big bike, and I cannot thank Paul enough for getting me there.
Will definitely be back to take on the Get Cornering course once I have my bike!!
